This town is situated in the neighbourhood of Frankfurt at 420 km from Malle. The town consists of two formerly independent municipalities: Heusenstamm and Rembrücken.
Geographically there are two distinct parts: the old historical centre is completely surrounded by the new housing estates of the ever developing city.
The historical centre is marked by an old gate that leads into Castle Street. Immediately to the left the baroque Saint Cecilia church (1739) can be seen. Timbered houses lead to the old Renaissance castle which has been completely restored and where the town administration is now situated. Around the town there is ample greenery for walking and biking.
The annual Saint Nicholas market is the highlight for the International Twinning Association. No fewer than 50 participants from Malle travel to Heusenstamm by coach to sell their regional products, trappist beer, cheese, chocolate and marzipan, to thousands of visitors on the market. The profit is partially donated to a good cause. In 2006 this was a school for handicapped children in Heusenstamm.
